After surviving a car accident, my mom, Penelope DeWitt, vowed to spend more time doing the things she still wanted to accomplish in life – mainly recording music she’s written quietly over the past four decades. I recorded her story about returning to a lifelong ambition and the often unspoken fears that keep us from pursuing them.
The musicians featured in this piece were Bart Weisman on drums, Alan Clinger on guitar, Lary Chaplin on fiddle and Rob Ormsby on Bass. Tom Tracy was the Engineer. A full version of the song, Not Back to Egypt, is listed above.
