Jessica Ripka is a writer, audio producer and musician based in Los Angeles.  A Tin House Fellow and and graduate of the Transom Story Workshop, her writing has appeared in Pidgeonholes, Prometheus Dreaming and The Helix while additional work of hers was a finalist for both Creative Nonfiction Magazine and The Iowa Review’s 2019 Creative Nonfiction Prize. An ongoing participant in creative writing courses through Writing Workshop Los Angeles, she is currently working on both written and audio memoirs centering on themes of identity, religion and mental illness.  A member of the AIR Talent Directory, her audio stories can be acquired through the Public Radio Exchange.  She currently works in film and television where her piano was featured in a dance sequence for a Coen Brothers movie.
