Jessica Ripka is a writer, radio producer and musician based in Los Angeles. She earned a B.S. in Cinema and Photography from Ithaca College with minors in French and Communications. She has held two writing fellowships from Tin House and graduated from the Transom Audio Workshop in Woods Hole, MA. For the past three years she has attended Creative Nonfiction Writing courses through Writing Workshop Los Angeles where she is working on both written and audio memoirs centering on themes of identity, creativity, religion and mental illness. A current member of the AIR Talent Directory, her audio stories can be acquired through the Public Radio Exchange. She currently works in film and television where her piano was featured in a dance sequence for a Coen Brothers movie.
